The aptly named Viking 80 team moved into the lead after the second full day of fishing in this year’s Bermuda Billfish Blast, thanks to the efforts of angler Justin Healey. He released a blue marlin and a white marlin while his father, Viking president and CEO Pat Healey, added a bonus white marlin to bring the team’s score to 1,200 points. Viking 80 is captained by Sean Dooley.

The Day One leaders on Reel Addiction dropped to second with 1,000 points from yesterday’s catch, while Reel Tight scored their second blue marlin release of the tournament to move into third place with 1,000 points heading into the final day of competition. El Cazador with Capt. Paul Alderman won the day with two blue marlin releases for angler Jack Ricks, who is also leading the Top Junior Angler category. Reel Tight angler Taylor Lambert leads the Top Lady Angler division with two blue marlin releases. There were no qualifying marlin boated so the largest marlin daily jackpots roll to the third and final day of the event.

The fleet of 35 boats tallied a total of 12 blue marlin and seven white marlin on Day Two, bringing the two-day total to 44 billfish releases.
