Summer Into Fall

A shift in conditions leads to consistent fishing

As summer gives way to fall in Kona, the charters keep coming and the fishing remains as consistent as ever. For this episode of Visions of Granders, Capt. Chris Donato shares his thoughts on fishing in the typical conditions and how he uses the currents to his advantage. Among his productive lures are bullet styles fished from the shotgun or stinger positions from the center rigger—something that others can take note of and use in their home waters around the world. Between bites, there’s also a few glimpses of the beautiful scenery around the Big Island.
