Team Galati Grabs Leg II of Los Sueños Triple Crown

The 43-boat fleet releases an incredible 1,579 sailfish and 14 marlin in an action packed second leg of the series

The second leg of the 2026 Los Sueños Triple Crown delivered strong, consistent action across all three days, with the fleet combining for 1,579 sailfish and 14 blue marlin releases. As always in the Triple Crown, timely bites and consistency ultimately proved decisive.

Day One produced 448 sailfish and 4 blue marlin for the fleet, with Goose setting the pace and taking the daily with 19 sailfish releases. Fish Tank and Team Galati both finished the day with 18 releases and finished second and third, respectively, on time. The leaderboard remained tight, with multiple teams posting mid- to high-teen sail numbers to open the event.

Day Two was the swing day and also the hottest bite, with the 43-boat fleet totaling 655 sailfish and 5 blue marlin releases. Sweet Spot turned in one of the strongest single-day efforts of the tournament with 27 sails and a blue marlin for 3,200 points. Team Galati answered with 23 sails (2,300 points), maintaining steady pressure. Blackhawk (24 sails, 1 marlin, 2,900 points) and Max Bet (22 sails, 1 marlin, 2,700 points) also made significant moves heading into the final day.

The final day of Leg II also produced strong action with the fleet releasing 476 sailfish and 5 blue marlin, but the day and the tournament were defined by capitalizing on opportunities. But when the dust settled at the call of “lines out” on Day Three, Team Galati closed with 16 sails and a blue marlin for 2,100 points, finishing Leg II with 57 sailfish, 1 blue marlin and 6,200 total points to secure the win. Sweet Spot stayed within reach all the way through, ending with 49 sails and 2 marlin for 5,900 points. Max Bet rounded out the top three with 51 sails and 1 marlin for 5,600 points.

Blackhawk and Billfisher both finished at 5,300 points, underscoring how narrow the margins were throughout the fleet and the high level of competition in this event. Goose, Vintage and several others surpassed the 50-sail mark over three days, reinforcing the depth of competition.

With two legs complete, the overall Triple Crown standings remain tight. Max Bet holds a narrow series lead at 15,800 total points, with Team Galati close behind at 15,400. Blackhawk and Sweet Spot remain well within striking distance heading into the final leg.
