Two decades have passed since Nikki Campbell set the women’s 30-pound line-class world record for blue marlin with this 708‑pounder she caught on June 28, 1996, off Madeira. The wife of IGFA Hall of Fame angler Stewart Campbell (center), Nikki needed just 30 minutes to land the record-setting blue after it struck a rigged mackerel trolled behind Chunda, a 44-foot Garlington run by the legendary Capt. Bark Garnsey (left). Charles Perry (kneeling), considered one of the top wire men in the world, assisted in landing the record, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016.
