Hawaii Marlin Tournament Series Gears Up for an Unforgettable 2025 Season
With new ownership and a legacy nearly 40 years strong, Kona’s premier big-game fishing series launches in June with renewed momentum

Hawaii is the birthplace of the modern trolling lure, so it is befitting that the sport’s best craftsman put their pride and their products to test each year in the Lure Maker’s Challenge. In this one-of-a-kind event, sponsored teams fish their sponsor’s brand of lures only for annual bragging rights and sponsor rights for the following year’s running. The Bwana team won the 2024 Lure Maker’s Challenge branded division, earning Kraken Fish Co. this year’s title sponsorship.

Early Registration – 1PM to 4:30PM at Honokohau Marina Office(Upstairs)
Final Registration & Kick-Off Party – 5PM to 7:30PM at Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club House
