Hawaii Lure Maker’s Challenge

Dates: March 23-27, 2026

2025 Lure Maker's Challenge

Presented By

Kraken Lures

Hawaii is the birthplace of the modern trolling lure, so it is befitting that the sport’s best craftsman put their pride and their products to test each year in the Lure Maker’s Challenge. In this one-of-a-kind event, lure makers come from around the globe, and teams compete against each other for the payout and top boat title, but teams work together by declaring the lure brand for each scoring marlin to determine the top Lure Maker of the year. That Lure Maker will win bragging rights, a trophy, a marketing package in Marlin Magazine, and sponsor rights for the following year’s tournament. Kraken Lures is the 2024 and 2025 reigning Lure Maker, and this year’s title sponsorship.
