Hawaii Marlin Tournament Series Gears Up for an Unforgettable 2025 Season
With new ownership and a legacy nearly 40 years strong, Kona’s premier big-game fishing series launches in June with renewed momentum
Dates: August 21 – 24, 2025
The event that started it all in 1986, the Big Island Marlin Tournament was the first high-stakes, big-game tournament in Hawaii to pay a cash purse. It was also the first to pay cash for tag and release. With a base entry that pays the top three largest marlin, and optionals for both points and size each day, there is plenty to compete for in this historic event.
Monday, July 21
Early Registration – 1PM to 4:30PM at Honokohau Marina Office(Upstairs)
Final Registration & Kick-Off Party – 5PM to 7:30PM at Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club House
