Lauderdale, Florida -_- The Bertram-Hatteras Shootout, the heralded 32-year running fishing tournament managed by Bertram Yacht, Hatteras Yacht, Allied Marine and Marine Max, has been collectively reorganized to be held in 2013 as a biannual fishing tournament by the sponsoring Shootout committee.
“We recognize the effort and commitment associated with “Big Game Fishing” and the challenges of creating a presentation of significant magnitude while traveling to distant locations. In an effort to give the tournament focused attention, the committee deemed that it needed to give ample time to its valued customers, sponsors and participants to better prepare. The amount of preparation for boat owners, crew, the factories and sales teams to plan travel arrangements, tournament activities and consider budgetary responsibility is something the committee recognizes as a vital component to being successful as a world renowned fishing tournament. In this regard, a biannual tournament will presentincreased opportunities to reach new participants, sponsors, charities, and spectators as the tournament evolves”, added the Bertram- Hatteras Shootout committee.
The deep heritage of the invitational Bertram-Hatteras Shootout will remain embedded in the core of the tournament and like most quality events, relished in tradition and history, the Bertram- Hatteras Shootout will be held once every other year and become a more diversified tournament.
