Marlin Lady Angler Team

Introducing the Marlin Ladies Fishing Team

A high-profile all-female tournament team hits the water

Pelagic and Viking Yacht Company, along with Marlin and Bucked Up energy drinks, introduces a team of female anglers to compete in the 2023 Quest for the Crest sailfish tournament series, hosted by Bluewater Movements.

The goal of Marlin’s Lady Angler team is to help create more awareness of female anglers in various competitive fishing tournaments around the world. This team consists of women all stages of skill levels as they progress through their angling careers, from expert to tournament greenhorn. Each is not only a passionate angler but several are also prominent members of the marine industry as well, ranging from boatbuilding and sales to tournament directors and pro staff members. Each brings a unique quality to the team.

The number of women entering the sport of offshore fishing has increased dramatically over the last decade. To meet that growing demand for quality products, Pelagic has stepped up with a full line of hardcore fishing gear designed specifically for women anglers. The team is outfitted in the latest gear and will be well protected from the elements, whether rain, wind or sun.

Viking Yachts is also sponsoring the team. Fishing aboard Vikings during the Quest for the Crest series, the team will enjoy that legendary ride while also having the speed and maneuverability to make the best of a hot bite. The boats are set up perfectly for live-baiting and kite-fishing, with large cockpits and multiple livewells—it’s all hands on deck from the call for lines in until the end of each hard-fought day of competitive fishing.

Bucked Up is also a team sponsor, making sure the ladies stay hydrated faster and more efficiently than drinking mere water alone to help improve their performance. The ladies will also be stocked up with Buckshots to keep them ready for the bite.
