Sweet pineapple and fresh lime are just the ­refreshing things you’ll be looking for once your hog shoulder has made its rounds on the grill. Hints of tarragon bring the sweetness down to an oh-so-complex but practical ­version of yummy. This cocktail pairs perfectly with Smoked Wild Hog Shoulder and Carolina Barbeque Sauce.


  • 1½ oz. Tito’s Handmade Vodka
  • 2 oz. soda water
  • 1½ oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. pineapple, cubed
  • ¾ oz. simple syrup
  • ½ oz. fresh lime juice
  • 2 tarragon leaves

Muddle tarragon and pineapple in a shaker. Add ice, vodka, pineapple juice, lime juice and simple syrup. Shake and strain into a glass over ice, and garnish with a lime slice and tarragon sprig.
