Release 46 Flybridge

What started as a walkaround than changed to an express than back to a walkaround has finally changed to a 46 flybridge. The 46′ Release Flybridge is easily recognized as an iconic sport-fishing boat. With her clean and uncluttered looks, large and functional cockpit, simple layout and excellent maneuverability, the 46 is a game-fishing weapon for the world’s oceans when in the hands of top crew, which we have! With two owners committed, construction will begin in December. There is still time to get on board, the adventure has begun.

Performance

With her classic styling, the 46 flybridge runs smooth and fast, while remaining remarkably dry even in the most challenging conditions. We have manipulated the center of gravity, enhancing balance and ride characteristics in following seas and waves. Imagine how quickly you can get to your record-breaking marlin with the exceptional performance offered by the 46 flybridge. With the unbeatable combination of Cummins diesel power and Zeus pod drives, the Release 46 will set an impressive benchmark for both speed and fuel efficiency. Her unmatched maneuverability means that the Release 46 is a light-tackle angler’s dream machine. The Release possesses the ability to travel in any direction, even sideways, with just the twist of a joystick. The pods have proven to be a more efficient propulsion system, especially compared to a traditional shaft-and-rudder boat. This will substantially reduce our annual operating cost.

Fishability

This 46 is designed to fish, and fish hard. With input from some of the finest captains and anglers from the four corners of the sport-fishing world, the professional’s touch is everywhere: The outriggers angle perfectly to the tip of the transom. A Bluewater fighting chair is the centerpiece of the cockpit. Gaff and tag stick holders are positioned under the gunnels, and six rod holders are mounted in the gunwale. The covering boards are at the perfect height. Even the bait prep center and large-capacity insulated fish boxes are placed in exactly the right spot. High volume cockpit scuppers, a transom gate and outward opening “tuna door” fitted with custom stainless hinges, and fresh and saltwater wash-down systems add to the utility of the cockpit fishing space. She’s all set to conquer the world’s toughest gamefish the Pacific has to offer.

Accommodations

Inside, the 46 flybridge offers a traditional layout with a port-side galley complete with Corian counters. The starboard-side dinette seats four. Everything is what you’d expect in a custom boat: undercounter refrigerator/freezer drawers, a two-burner cooktop, custom cabinets, a teak-and-holly Amtico sole in the galley and tons of storage in the bow to port and starboard of the centerline gangway. The main salon of the 46 flybridge features a large L-shaped lounge, as well as a flat screen TV with a Fusion sound system. Forward, the master stateroom has an island berth. To starboard, a second stateroom has twin berths and a dresser. A spacious head compartment is conveniently located and fully equipped for cruising comfort.

Our fishing expertise is grounded in the pursuit of game fish, whether in mountain streams, lakes, coastal estuaries, flats, reefs or canyons; we have chased just about everything from brook trout to blue marlin and bluefin tuna! However, our experience has taught us that fishing is but one important aspect of a great vacation. With the last ten years based out of Guatemala, we have traveled, fished and extensively explored the Eastern Pacific from Panama to Cabo San Lucas. This experience gives us the ability to ensure that your family, group, or customers have a well-planned and hassle-free vacation aboard your own boat. The destinations we have planned offer a mix of great fishing, relaxation, beaches, and an environment that is appropriate for all group types, from families to corporate clients.

Construction has begun on Hull #9, our latest 46′ walkaround. Next summer she will be fishing the canyons off of Cape Cod, her home waters. Winters will be spent at her southern home in Boca Raton, Florida. Capt. John Walker will be staying on top of the build and posting the progress on fishtrack.com. I’m looking forward to going up north and catching a wicked tuna on the Rainmaker!
