One year after Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc on the Virgin Islands, Scrub Island, the first full-service resort in the BVIs, has reopened for business.
All of the resort’s 52 guestrooms and suites will be available in December, fully returned to their original austerity, with upgrades. 26 of these accommodations are now accessible, including the resort’s six spacious villas — complete with gourmet kitchens, spacious living areas and huge balconies that offer extraordinary views — with an additional four villas becoming available in November.
Scrub Island is also upgrading and rebranding its casual and upscale dining options, in addition to bringing back the Ixora Spa, which offers multiple treatments for guest enjoyment. The pool, pool bar, Wi-Fi, 24-hour fitness room and the expansion of North Beach are just some of the renovations guests can expect to see while visiting Scrub Island in the near future.
The 55-slip marina has also been revamped with new power pedestals, new docks and underwater lighting.
The resort is currently offering excursions to popular destinations within the BVIs, such as The Baths, Norman Island, Jost van Dyke and Willy T’s for those with an adventurous side.
Scrub Island invites you to experience private island luxury as they welcome back guests to their tropical paradise on the east end of Tortola.
