Caymas—a relatively new brand established by an old hand, marine-industry veteran Earl Bentz—builds freshwater bass boats and inshore and offshore saltwater-fishing boats.
The saltwater boats are designed with Michael Peters’ patented Stepped-Vee Ventilated Tunnel hull, which is 15-percent faster than a comparable V-hull, the company says, with a softer, drier ride.
Caymas hybrid boats blend bay-boat and center-console attributes for shallow- and offshore-fishing adventures. Its center-console models are created for the hardcore fisherman but with family-friendly seating and layout. Caymas conducts an 86-point checklist on every boat before it leaves the factory.
Caymas 401 CC

Hardcore anglers will appreciate the massive cockpit, leaning post with rod-and-tackle storage, and rear-facing mezzanine seating.
Twin 45-gallon transom livewells feature premium Hooker electric pumps and a sea chest. Five fish boxes provide 460 gallons total insulated storage for big catches, and rod storage is lockable for security.
The elevated helm station, with three Release Marine captain’s chairs, provides enhanced visibility for safer cruising. The dash accommodates triple 17-inch displays or dual 22-inchers, plus it has space for additional electronics. Above, an innovative hardtop features a pass-through hatch for easy access to an optional second station.
With its stability-enhancing 11-foot-6-inch beam, the 401 CC welcomes family and friends. The cabin contains an enclosed head, additional storage, and a berth for a break or an overnight stay.
The forward chaise lounge houses 75 gallons of dry storage plus a 15 gallon insulated cooler.
