The Striped Marlin showed up and changed things up a little bit. I managed a double Billfish Grand Slam, and I was actually one sailfish shy of making it a triple.
On this day things started early, the night before had been flat calm and we had a great night's sleep, so we woke up to fish hard. Around 7:00 in the morning, we had a sailfish come up, I pitched a ballyhoo and things got started.
After that, I managed three stripes, 4 blues and another sail. Both sails we're caught on a pitch bait, and all the others on live bait. The variety of billfish on that day was truly incredible.
