The 2022 Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship tournament series kicked off with the first leg—the Bermuda Billfish Blast—on July 4th beneath picture-perfect sunny skies and moderate winds. The fleet of 35 boats headed to the fertile offshore waters surrounding the island nation, collectively releasing a total of 25 billfish on Day One alone.

Leading the way was local captain Cragin “Curly” Curtis aboard Reel Addiction with two blue marlin releases for angler Parke Berolzheimer, who also leads in the individual angler standings. Capt. Will Thornhill led the Mama Who team into second with a blue marlin and a white marlin release, while Rainmaker is in third with one blue marlin. No qualifying marlin were weighed today so the largest marlin daily jackpots roll to tomorrow.

Follow the live scoring here. The tournament series would also express our thanks to its host of sponsors as well.
