The 2026 Los Sueños Signature Triple Crown concluded with a high-volume, hard-fought Leg III that ultimately decided the champion of this prestigious event. Over the final three days of the series, the 40-boat fleet combined to release 2,491 sailfish and 8 blue marlin, closing out a nine-day stretch of fishing defined by both high numbers and relentless competition.

When the dust settled, it wasTeam Galati that rose to the occasion with Capt. Tony Carrizosa at the helm. After a strong runner-up finish in Leg I and a win in Leg II, they delivered a commanding performance in the final leg—posting 34, 36 and 41 sailfish releases for a 111-sail, 11,100-point total. The team captured the overall Triple Crown title with an impressive 26,500 total points.

Max Bet, captained by Austin Robins, once again proved to be one of the most consistent teams in the fleet. After winning Leg I with a late surge, they backed it up with a third-place finish in Leg II and a second-place finish in Leg III. Their 98-sail, 9,800-point effort in the final leg brought their series total to 25,600 points, just 900 shy of the title.

Vintage rounded out the Leg III podium with an equally impressive showing. Their 98-sail performance matched Max Bet for second-best totals in the leg, and their steady progression across all three events earned them a third-place finish in Leg III and 20,000 points overall.

Beyond the top three, the leaderboard was stacked with high-performing teams throughout the series. Goose capitalized on a Day Three blue marlin in Leg III to climb into the top five, while Pura Vida, Billfisher, Fish Tank, Tarheel, and Blackhawk all turned in consistent, multi-leg performances that kept them in contention deep into the tournament.

That strong competition throughout the fleet continues to define the Triple Crown. From the top teams to the middle of the pack, double-digit daily release numbers were the norm, not the exception. Leaderboard positions shifted constantly, and no lead held comfortably across the three legs.

Just as notable was the fishery itself. Nearly 2,500 sailfish released in the final leg alone—and thousands more across the series—highlighted both the consistency and sheer productivity of Costa Rica’s Pacific waters.

In the end, it was a complete performance across all three legs that separated Team Galati—but the margin, and the path to get there, underscored just how competitive this event continues to become.
