Angler Robert Burroughs had a great Memorial Day weekend. Fishing on Quick Time, Burroughs landed an 806-pound blue marlin to win over $164,000 in the popular Mobile Big Game Fishing Club Memorial Day Tournament. Sea Mixer was the top catch and release boat with two blue marlin releases and 1,250 points. Change Order placed second with one blue marlin and one white marlin released, while Southbound was third with one blue marlin released. Steven Carter caught the largest mahimahi on FM at 47.2 pounds. The bluefin tuna continue to be landed in the Gulf of Mexico this summer; You Never Know’s Sydney Turner landed a 647.8-pound bluefin to win the tournament’s tuna division. The Dogger‘s Clay Spencer had the top wahoo at 99.2 pounds.
