Cummins will feature their new Onan Marine QD series generators during this year’s Miami International Boat Show. The new EPA Tier 3-compliant products have greatly reduced emissions and are among the quietest in the marine industry.
These new products are perfectly suited to meet the growing electrical needs for today’s modern sport-fishing boats. From lighting to air conditioning, gyro-stabilization, full kitchens and more, power usage onboard is ever-increasing. The new generators can also be paralleled, enabling them to provide up to 130 kilowatts for larger yachts—the single platform gives boatbuilders the ability to supply all the boat’s electrical needs without having to redesign engine room layouts. They come with or without Onan sound shields and in single- or three-phase power options.
