Blue Water Desalination will debut its Clear Mate fresh-water reverse osmosis system at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The system uses the same technology as BWD’s watermakers to provide pure water for all boat-cleaning needs. The Clear Mate softens ordinary dock water and removes up to 99 percent of the dissolved solids for spot-free rinsing. BWD will offer boaters two versions of Clear Mate, each providing 2,000 gallons of water per day. One system is designed to be fed from dockside water only while the other system can be fed from dock water or an existing desalination system, utilizing a stainless-steel storage tank.

Some of the other features of the Clear Mate system include:

• low power consumption
• quiet operation
• compact design
• Digital LCD controller displays water quality, faults and an hour meter
