On the Road Again

The next few weeks are going to be crazy...

Things have been pretty hectic around here at Marlin lately, trying to ship a magazine and dealing with a bunch of kids fresh out of school, but it could be worse. It could be next month!

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m well aware of the cool things I get to do and the awesome places I get to visit, but the next few weeks are going to be crazy.

Next week I shoot a TV show with the Devil Rays in St. Petersburg, immediately after that I’m doing an event for the Chevy Florida Insider Show at the Diet Coke 400 on the fourth of July weekend in Daytona. Then I head down to do an SFTV daytime swordfishing show in Miami on the following weekend, and then head out west to the big ICAST tackle show in Las Vegas for almost the entire next week. I’m going to try and take a vacation from the 18th through the 23th up in Destin, Florida with my parents, and then finish the month in Madeira for Marlin University. I might be home for 10 days out of the 31 if I’m lucky.

But hey, how can you not like a show that mixes tackle with Las Vegas? I got to see all the latest tackle and come home and tell you all about it.

And I’ve never been to Madeira so I’ve been dying to go.

I get to bring my boys along to the Daytona event, and well get to drive the drivers around the track – so that’s going to be a hoot as well.

On the Miami trip I get to fish with Capt. Jimbo Thomas, one of the best in the business, so that’s great opportunity to learn from one of the greats. And it’s always fun to spend time with boys and their Grandma and Granpa.

Trouble is, even with all that’s going on in July, we’ve got to ship another Marlin magazine come August … so wish me luck … especially in Las Vegas!
