New Boat Preview

As we close our March issue we’re setting our sights for a busy February. I’m putting the finishing touches on the F&S 66 review. Heck of a boat with a unique hull design and cool rod storage areas in addition to comfort and style. Once we ship, it’s off to get in some much-needed fishing time. Though it’s only two days, the chance to travel to Mexico’s Isla Mujeres and jump aboard the new Paul Mann 58 is a treat in itself. Add to that the opportunity to fish with Paul, the owner and crew is one of the fringe benefits of being a Marlin editor. Once back on the ground it’s a quick turn to Riviera Beach and attend Viking Yachts VIP event. The climate in our industry seems cautiously optimistic, brokerage boat sales have activity and certain segments of the boating market is seeing some growth or at least staying flush.

The Miami International Boat Show is February 16-20 and we’ll be there in full force looking for and at new releases in tackle, electronics and boats. There is already an impressive list of new launches that we’ll have for you and the press event schedule seems to be enough to wear out my deck shoes. I’ve got five pairs of tickets to give away, convince me you’re an avid Marlin reader and deserve them by placing your 50 words or less plea on our Facebook page. Here’s a sneak peek at the new Paul Mann 58.
