The highly anticipated kickoff to the Bermuda Triple Crown, the Billfish Blast is scheduled to take place over the July 4 holiday every year. This gives the participating teams the opportunity to celebrate America’s independence in grand style, often with colorful costumes and bright boat decorations. But make no mistake, the Bermuda Billfish Blast is also a highly competitive tournament, with big money at stake for the winners. It also runs concurrently with the Blue Marlin World Cup as well, giving participating teams a double shot to win big in Bermuda.
The 20th anniversary of the Bermuda Billfish Blast sees a record payout of $1.1 million, with Fender Bender taking top honors and Big Deal landing the tournament’s heaviest fish.
