flat line clips
Here’s a clean, neat alternative to use when attaching a Black’s clip to the transom to help when running flat lines.
Slide a Black’s clip onto a length of 200-pound black Dacron, then loosen up two screws holding down the rub rail. Pry the rub rail loose, then wrap the Dacron around each of the screws behind the rub rail and retighten the screws. If the rub rail is bedded down with 5200 sealant and you can’t get it loose, just wrap the Dacron around the screws on the outside of the rub rail and retighten the screws.
