Indulge in smoky banana bread pudding topped with charred marshmallows, rich chocolate hazelnut sauce, and a crunchy vanilla wafer crumble. This decadent dessert combines warm, sweet flavors with a playful, grilled twist. Pairs perfectly with a Tito’s Espresso Martini.
Ingredients | Serves 4-6
- 4 croissants, torn
- 4 large eggs, whisked
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- ¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 tbsp. browned butter
- ¼ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
- 2 tbsp. filtered water
- 8 jumbo marshmallows, divided
- 8 vanilla wafer cookies
To Prepare
- In an 8-by-8-inch dish, mix croissants, butter, milk, cream, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar and salt. Add bananas, chocolate chips and 4 chopped marshmallows. Soak overnight in refrigerator.
- Preheat grill to 350°F. Place 4 marshmallows on top. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden. Whisk hazelnut spread with water for drizzle. Crumble vanilla wafers. Serve pudding warm topped with sauce and cookie crumble.
