Indulge in smoky banana bread pudding topped with charred marshmallows, rich chocolate hazelnut sauce, and a crunchy vanilla wafer crumble. This decadent dessert combines warm, sweet flavors with a playful, grilled twist. Pairs perfectly with a Tito’s Espresso Martini.

Ingredients | Serves 4-6

  • 4 croissants, torn
  • 4 large eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 tbsp. browned butter
  • ¼ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 2 tbsp. filtered water
  • 8 jumbo marshmallows, divided
  • 8 vanilla wafer cookies

To Prepare

  1. In an 8-by-8-inch dish, mix croissants, butter, milk, cream, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar and salt. Add bananas, chocolate chips and 4 chopped marshmallows. Soak overnight in refrigerator.
  2. Preheat grill to 350°F. Place 4 marshmallows on top. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden. Whisk hazelnut spread with water for drizzle. Crumble vanilla wafers. Serve pudding warm topped with sauce and cookie crumble.
