Enjoy these grilled oysters topped with a rich garlic, herb, and cream sauce, finished with panko breadcrumbs and a touch of hot sauce. Perfect for summer cookouts or a flavorful appetizer, served fresh off the grill with a squeeze of lemon. Pairs well with Spicy TitoRita Cocktail.

Ingredients | Serves 4-6

  • 2 dozen oysters, on the half shell
  • 2 small garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp. fresh basil leaves, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp. fresh parsley leaves, finely minced
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. hot sauce of choice
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 lemon, zested, cut into wedges

To Prepare

  1. In a small saucepan, add garlic and white wine. Simmer on low for about 8 minutes. Add cream, hot sauce, parsley and basil. Take off heat and reserve for the oysters on the grill.
  2. On a hot grill, add oysters on the half shell and spoon a nice portion of the sauce. Add a sprinkle of breadcrumbs and lemon zest. Place the lid on the grill. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, depending on the size of the oysters.
  3. Carefully remove oysters onto a serving platter. Allow to cool slightly before serving hot. Sprinkle with more chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
