Ask 10 serious anglers for their bucket-list locales and you’ll likely get 10 different answers, each backed by conviction, passion and experience. So, we asked ourselves: What truly earns a spot on a big-game bucket list?

With decades of combined experience traveling, fishing, and learning from some of the best captains and crews in the world, we narrowed it down to three defining criteria.
