Building on the success of their hot new 35-footer, Bertram Yachts announces the unveiling of their new 61-foot sport-fisher, designed with the durability and quality of their original battlewagons in a modern, top-of-the-line design.
The hull, designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design, is constructed using a combination of a vinylester and solid fiberglass, which is reinforced with a composite and Kevlar centerline and stringers for added strength. The new 61 will include a Seakeeper as standard equipment and will be powered by two 1,900 hp Caterpillar C32 engines.
The cockpit is spacious, the helm affords maximum visibility, and the interior is large and luxurious, with a full-beam master stateroom. Using near-military-grade glass, “These [wrap-around salon] windows are amazing,” says Tommy Thompson, Vice President of Sales and Product Development. “I can’t wait for everyone to see the view from inside a 61 Bertram.”
The company will unveil the new 61 Bertram prototype in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in July.
