Sea Dream, a local Puerto Rico entry, nearly spoiled AD/HD’s victory though. They scored five blue marlin releases on 30-pound gear in the tournament, falling just short based on time. Sea Dream scored three blues on the fourth and final day of fishing. The Panama Jack team landed in third place with three blue marlin releases on 30-pound-test. Harris Lamont from AD/HD was the event’s top angler with three blue marlin releases.

Tournament director Sal Egea, Jr. says, “This year’s event featured great participation and camaraderie by all the anglers, plus some great action from the blue marlin. It was a lot of fun to share the week with so many passionate anglers and friends of Puerto Rico that came from different parts of the world. We worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time, and I think we succeeded!” For the tournament there were 58 blue marlin let go by 194 anglers aboard 47 vessels.
