With the 2025 big-game season heating up, the Marlin Global Challenge (MGC) has rolled out two exciting new developments that raise the bar for this global blue marlin showdown. Most notably, MGC has announced a guaranteed $100,000 minimum payout to the registered team that lands the heaviest tournament-caught blue marlin by October 31. Adding to the momentum, Spot Zero – a leading manufacturer of water purification systems for big-game sportfishing vessels – has signed on as the event’s presenting sponsor, further solidifying the MGC as one of the most compelling new competitions on the international tournament calendar.
Launched on April 1st, the MGC is a global, season-long showdown open to anglers fishing in recognized events anywhere in the world.
