**Requirements for Editor/Marlin
**
Excellent Communications Skills
Ability to develop entire story packages from idea conception, photo assignment to final layout.
Ability to develop story concepts, research and write in clear, enjoyable prose on deadline.
Ability to develop story concepts and communicate them in written form to freelance or staff talent in a way that inspires them to accomplish the assignment according to needs and on time.
Represent the magazine at trade shows, tournaments and other events as necessary.
Organization Skills
Ability to assist in developing edit plans, budgets, photo shoot schedules.
Candidate must have above average business skills to accomplish organizational duties and to interact with editorial sources. Ability to plan for content to be ready before deadlines to relieve bottlenecks in flow of content through the company creative system. Ability to manage these duties, often while on the move via email and phone.
Make InCopy changes in layouts as needed to facilitate production, assist art team with InDesign functions.
Writing
Write and/or edit features and departments for the magazine as necessary.
Contribute to the brands digital products, including website, eNewsletters, social media and other platforms as necessary.
Content Interest
Offshore fishing and related industry experience
