Hampton, Virginia & Beaufort, North Carolina (10/8/2012) – Bluewater Yacht Sales and Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales announced today the merging of their sales operations. Flying under the Bluewater flag that has flown since 1968 – now with an updated brand identity, the new union of the Bluewater and Jarrett Bay family of companies has resulted in a vast and dynamic mix of departments, services and personnel spanning the East Coast. This merger has instantly transformed Bluewater Yacht Sales into one of the largest and most experienced yacht sales operations in the United States.

Through old fashioned determination, superior product and friendly service, Jarrett Bay and Bluewater grew individually into multi-faceted and wildly successful groups of companies. After several years of friendly competition and shared observations of synergies between the two companies, owners of both entities decided that the timing was perfect to consolidate efforts to double the sales operation and unite some of the most well regarded service facilities on the East Coast – the Jarrett Bay Marine Park and Bluewater Yacht Yards.

The family of operations will continue to be guided by the same hands-on, founding ownership teams of Chris Hall, Earle Hall, Jud Black and John D Riggs from the Bluewater side, and Randy Ramsey and Dan Reitz on the Jarrett Bay front. With Jan Boone leading the charge as President, Bluewater’s strong and experienced staff is positioned well to navigate today’s global economy, and successfully market customer listings both locally and internationally. The new company will continue to go the extra mile to ensure they only represent the finest brands and that their customers’ boats stand out in a crowded market through substantial investments in staging locally and nationally, listings on all major online search platforms, and extensive networking with other dealerships.

From Jarrett Bay’s roots on the North Carolina coast and Bluewater’s in the heart of the Chesapeake and Pirate’s Cove in Manteo, both have grown their new brand territories across the Outer Banks and to South Carolina and Maryland. This Mid-Atlantic territory comprises the core new boat sales and brokerage operations and is currently serviced by over 50 staff. The boat industry’s calendar essentially revolves around the major boat shows in South Florida, and much of the yearly sales activities are focused on leveraging those shows in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami & Palm Beach. Our Florida brokerage operations are headquartered out of West Palm Beach, providing a great locale for serving South Florida’s bustling boating scene.
