    I am a Marlin subscriber and, honestly, enjoy it from cover to cover. I have fished for many years in fresh and salt water, but my fondest times and best stories come from the Atlantic waters between Rhode Island, Block Island and Montauk, New York. About the only thing we were never successful at, although we put a lot of hours into it, was harpooning or "ironing" a broadbill. So our swordfish consumption was limited to the wonderful restaurants around Point Judith and Block Island, Rhode Island. The locals there would only eat "ironed" swordfish. Read More

    January 22-23, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico After two days of great fishing, the final standings of the World Billfish Series Grand Championship were so close that only the time of release separated the leaders: Karl Knudsen, Gary Roth, Shane McMahon, Brenda Kelly and Rick Shedore. All of them released one fish in this first-ever WBS Grand Championship, but it was Knudsen's early stripey on Day One that would prove to be the winner after a close race to the finish. Read More
