We first met the owners of Binnacle Tackle while fishing the White Marlin Open up in Ocean City, Maryland, and were impressed with their high-quality lures and dredge setups. Recently, the company made its way down to Miami and revealed some of their new heavier lures and dredge weights to the south Florida crowds.

Binnacle makes a wide assortment of metal-headed lures with hair skirts ranging in weights from 1 to 4 ounces, but it was their big Marlin Mayhem custom dredge weight that created the most buzz at the Miami Boat Show. The dredge weight comes in two sizes, 21/2 pounds and 3 3/4 pounds, so they will have no problem sinking the largest dredges. You can pick your own head, eye and two skirt colors, so they are totally customized to your specifications. As a bonus, add a strong double-hook set to the weight and troll it fast to pick up a wahoo!
