Paul Mann Custom Boats

Growing up on North Carolina’s famed Outer Banks, Paul Mann developed a love for the sea at a very young age. His first job was as a mate on a local charter boat before he graduated to the helm, earning his captain’s license at just 20 years old. After high school, Mann began worked in boat-building alongside such legends as Omie Tillet and Sunny Briggs, who trained him in the classic Carolina techniques. Mann built his own boat in 1988 and then continued building for others in the area: Paul Mann Custom Boats was born.

With his experience as a charter captain, Mann knew what it took to fish a boat in all kinds of conditions — from slick-calm to treacherous — and incorporated those into each of his boats. Today, Paul Mann Custom Boats builds each boat using a combination of time-tested techniques and the latest in high-tech materials to produce some of the most incredible sport-fishing machines on the water.
