Thanks for your interest in Marlin University – Australia - November 8th – 14th, 2020.
The section of the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns north to just past Lizard Island holds more 800-plus pound fish than any spot in the world. If you are serious about catching a marlin of significant size—more than 800 pounds—then you can’t beat the action on the GBR, even when the fishing is slow!
Our trip to Australia is epic big-game fishing! We fish for 5 days and sleep on our own mothership, the MV BELUGA. The mothership provides us with comfortable accommodations for 5 days and gives us the flexibility to move up and down the reef to chase the bite and still enjoy great accommodations and food.
We will start the day out light tackle bait fishing in the mornings for mackerel, tuna and other pelagic species in and around the reefs and then we head outside the reef edge with the heavy tackle and target black marlin from approx. 11:00AM – 6:00PM
Our overnight anchorage is behind the protection of the outer reef for dinner and a comfortable night’s rest while catching up on the day’s events. Beluga is a luxury 114 ft. expedition super yacht built in 2006 by Moonen Shipyards in Holland. Beluga is equipped with all the luxuries of a superyacht and has chartered all over the world including the Mediterranean before settling in beautiful Port Douglas, Australia. She is manned by a 7 person experienced and professional crew who go to great lengths to ensure your experience is memorable on the Great Barrier Reef.
Our sportfishing fleet includes ZULU 54ft Assegai game boat, LEVANTE 44ft Assegai game boat and MINKE, a 40ft Assegai Express. The vessels in this fleet are the finest in the region and completely devoted to Marlin Fishing Season.
We take only 10 anglers on this trip. Each day anglers rotate from one boat to the next and fish with a different instructor and captain/crew.
The cost of the trip is $10,500 per person. This includes fishing charters, your accommodations on the mothership, all meals, and airport transfers. Airfare not included.
This trip always sells out, so if you’re interested, book early!
