Viking Yachts Busy in December

As 2013 comes to a close, Viking is busier than the North Pole.

December 18, 2013
The Viking plant is a lively place these days, and as the end of the year approaches there is no let up in sight. The hull mold of the new** Viking 92 Convertible** strikes an interesting pose as a team of Viglass technicians finish the dry lay-up of fiberglass and carbon fiber laminations in preparation of Viking’s resin infusion process scheduled for later this week. This is one BIG boat, the largest in Viking’s 50-year history!
Nearby, two very popular hulls are being readied as well. That is a 62 Convertible hull (left ) and a 55 Convertible (right).
Out on production line three, Tam Nguyen hoists the under counter refrigeration aboard 42236, a 42 ST (Sport Tower).
Over in the metal shop, Gary Bennett works his magic on a custom designed and fabricated aluminum mini-mast, which will house a FLIR thermal imaging camera, a spotlight and a navigation light aboard 76619, an enclosed bridge convertible.
Ready to leave the production line and go out the door to the water is 52804, a 52 convertible.
