Z-Gaff

By incorporating its patented Z-Rod design into a gaff handle, Reel Colors does away with all the lashing tricks used to make a gaff handle easier to hang on to.

Few disasters on board match the pathos and shame of a big fish swimming away with your gaff. The utter silence that follows can last what seems like a lifetime, especially if you're the one with your fingers curled around a big bunch of empty. Reel Colors shares your pain and has developed a gaff with a new ... uh ... twist. By incorporating its patented Z-Rod design into a gaff handle, Reel Colors does away with all the lashing tricks used to make a gaff handle easier to hang on to.
The Z-Gaff comes in four anodized aluminum pieces that assemble into a gaff measuring 6 feet long. It comes with a 5-inch stainless-steel hook that locks into four positions in relation to the handle at 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees. The Z-bar handle gives you tremendous pulling power and comes with a hypalon foam grip. When disassembled the Z-Gaff fits neatly into a 48-inch hard case for easy travel.
