With boats today stretching out into giant floating condominiums, more and more household items make their way on board. At one time, you only had to worry about making sure the coffee maker didn't hit the deck; now you've got blenders, ice-cream makers, toasters, mixers, microwaves, personal computers - you name it, it will find itself on board. Some of these items can take a bounce or two with no worries, but others, like your new clock radio, the toolbox in the engine room or the 13-inch TV in the kids' berth, need to stay where you put them.
To keep things in their place, use a pair, or more, of Thumb Lock's TV Grips. These unique little clips use heavy-duty adhesive and adjustable straps to lock down just about any item to any surface. Much stronger than bungee cords or regular hook-and-loop fasteners - like Velcro - TV Grips adjust easily and are safe for use on gloss wood finishes. And if you're trying to secure a really heavy item, you can opt to mount the straps with screws instead of the peel-back adhesive. TV Grips are found in most hardware stores, or you can visit www.fasteningsolutions.com to find them in your area.
