Branding Your Bag

Jumping around from boat to boat as I do, it's important for me to be able to identify my gear quickly - especially if the boss really wants me off the boat pronto!

Jumping around from boat to boat as I do, it's important for me to be able to identify my gear quickly - especially if the boss really wants me off the boat pronto! All kidding aside, when I'm out fishing, I don't like to have to go through several bags of lures to find the particular lure I'm looking for.

Recently, I started stenciling all of my lure bags with the image of the particular species the lures inside the bag will target. For instance, all of my blue marlin lures go in bags with a marlin stencil on the side; same goes for tuna, sails and wahoo. This allows me to narrow down the number of bags I have to rummage through to find the lures I need when we come across that school of big yellowfin tuna.
