Saunders Yachtworks in Gulf Shores, Alabama, recently added a long-term dry storage yard at the company’s primary location to its portfolio of marine-related services.

“As the number of boats using our coast has increased, we have seen a corresponding increase in demand for out-of-water storage,” says John Fitzgerald, CEO of Saunders. “Our new yard expansion will provide a safe, secure and convenient place to store boats on the hard during times like hurricane season and winter months, or any period our customers will be away from their boats and don’t want to worry.

“Access to the Intracoastal Waterway and high elevation allow us to offer an easy storage solution with the convenience of scheduling additional boatyard services as the boats come in and out of the water,” says Fitzgerald. The 42,000-square-foot storage yard will accommodate power and sail vessels up to 50 feet inside a fenced perimeter that will feature security lighting and power hook-ups. Customers will have the option to dry dock their vessel or leave it on the trailer.
