Readers' Best White Marlin Shots

This white marlin photo contest contained some of the best billfish shots we’ve ever seen here at Marlin magazine –– amateur or professional. Thankfully, whitey is pretty plentiful up and down the Eastern Seaboard and in the Gulf of Mexico these days, so the onboard photographer gets a lot of shots! As anyone who tries to take sharp, frozen pictures of billfish can attest, taking pictures of leaping billfish isn’t that easy to do! We finally picked one winner, Rock Wells of Oregon Inlet, but it was truly a tough decision — there are several in the gallery that are really tied for first. Thanks so much for your participation.
