Willis "Doc" Austin, 62, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away on Nov. 7, 2008. He was at his home with family and friends around him. Doc was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in Maryland where he met and married his wife of 42 years, Donna Lee. They moved to Florida in 1978 with their sons to enjoy warm weather and fishing twelve months a year. He soon joined Steve Moynihan as his partner in HMY Yacht Sales. Doc enjoyed fishing around the globe and the adventures he encountered while doing so. His favorite fishing spot was "wherever the fish were biting". His latest fishing hole was found in Costa Rica. There he enjoyed many wonderful family memories fishing on the 'Adios'. Doc is survived by his wife Donna Lee, sons Vince (Debbie), Douglas (Jennifer), and four grandchildren, Megan, Cameron, Holly and Amy. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to World Vision, P.O. Box 70172, Tacoma, WA 98481 or Christian Appalachian Project, P.O. Box 459, Hagerhill, KY 41222. |
