Monster blue marlin landed in Cabo

The claimed grander took over 28 hours to boat on 60-pound test line

According to a report by Pisces Sportfishing, a monster blue marlin was landed in Cabo over the weekend after a 28-hour fight. The blog calls the weight at 1213 pounds (determined via formula), although attempts to get an accurate weight on the fish at the dock were unsuccessful due to its size.

"It was the greatest experience of my life. I travel all around the world, Africa, Asia and nothing comes close to this,” angler Richard Biehl of Traverse City, Michigan, told Pisces.

The fish was caught on the charter boat Go Deep.

Sad! That's all I have to say!

The initial report gave the measurements: "short length"=137in/girth=75in. The "formula": LxGxG/800 = 963lbs. The fish weighted 972lbs on scales at marina. Scales were correct. Not a Grander. Sorry.
