Right on Course

Simrad's Robertson AP11 makes autopiloting even easier than it sounds.

Although there's something to be said for pointing your nose into the wind and stoically steering a course for home, the freedom and accuracy gained by allowing an autopilot to do this job for you will have you reclining in your helm chair posthaste. Simrad's Robertson AP11 takes the frustration and drudgery out of long stints at the wheel.
Introduced as part of the new Simrad MarineLine range of products, the AP11 features a large LCD display that continually shows mode of operation, rudder angle and course or heading. By only putting four buttons on the AP11, Simrad kept the unit's operation as simple as possible. Standard features include full navigation interface (GPS, plotter, Loran C or windvane) via NMEA 0183, proportional rudder control, automatic compass calibration and automatic speed and sea-state adjustments. The owner can even customize the look of the unit by selecting either a yellow, green or red backlighting. The AP11 comes with a wide range of drive units and also offers a full dual-station option.
