A good pair of eyes on the flybridge usually increases your catch rate. If the captain can alert the angler to the presence of a fish trailing a bait or lure before  the fish eats it, the hookup ratio soars. But a captain can't always stare back into the spread; his head needs to be on a swivel to spot bait, birds or approaching boat traffic. He also can't see very deep into the water - even from his elevated position. To make sure the crew and all anglers on board know when a fish approaches your bait, get your eyes under the water with a Towcam.
 
The Towcam, a camera that you troll in the spread, is custom built and finely tuned to closely track your lure or bait. Just clip it onto your outrigger and throw it overboard. A 230-foot, thin Kevlar reinforced cable makes towing and retrieving the camera as easy as using a teaser. Tested and trialed at Lizard Island and Cairns on some of Australia's top game boats, the Towcam provides color images that are incredibly clear. It also leads the way with a range of tower and cockpit cameras, featuring high-resolution and wide-angle images. You can also buy a Polecam to capture all the action of the tag and release alongside the boat, shot above and below the water's surface. The Towcam features include an ultra-high resolution, custom-made underwater camera; brass CNC housings; custom lenses; the 230-foot Kevlar strengthened ultra-thin cable; a roller-adjuster tension clip for outrigger poles; and a windup storage reel.
