We've seen everything from layers of tinfoil to custom-made stainless-steel racks used for this purpose. And while getting a mate to change the way he takes care of his baits is like getting grandpa to put his trousers on when company comes over, any mate worth his salt should jump at the chance to try the stackable Max Bait Tray System.

Initially developed to take up less space, the Max Bait Tray System was designed to work best with a 24-quart Igloo Max Cold cooler, but you can use the trays with any full-size bait cooler. The trays are constructed of 0.08-inch powder-coated aluminum and have built-in handles that transfer the cold when stacked on top of each other. Each tray holds eight to 10 ballyhoo, depending on the size of the baits.
