These days, everything seems to be getting smaller and faster (excluding magazine editors, of course), and that trend is even carrying over to terminal tackle. While anglers have been using smaller, tougher reels and rods for the past several years, swivels, snaps and hooks have followed suit.

American Fishing Wire (AFW) came up with a new line of compact, 100 percent stainless-steel Mighty-Mini Crane swivels and Mighty-Mini Snap swivels. Recent advances in manufacturing allow the introduction of these stainless-steel swivels, which are three times stronger than the leading brands of swivels of the same size. Now you can use swivels for your bottom rigs and snap swivels for attaching lures that are less visible and significantly more powerful. Mighty-Mini swivels also produce less drag and provide enhanced rotation for more strikes.
