Germans enjoy a great reputation for creating well-engineered and high-quality products. From cars to planes and everything in between, if it's made in Germany, then you're probably going to enjoy its performance. Germany also excels in the manufacturing of high-grade optics, and the Steiner name is recognized around the world as a leader in this industry. Steiner recently introduced a premium class of binoculars made specifically for the professional mariner.

The Commander 7x50 Marine binocular comes with high-definition optics and a new hydrophobic Nano Protection coating on all the outer lenses. A new lens-polishing process yields the highest light transmission, optical resolution and color fidelity of any handheld marine binocular.

You can also opt for a version with a waterproof, illuminated compass. The compass model includes a reticle system that allows for quick range finding of objects of a known size or height.

Waterproof and submersible to 33 feet, these 37-ounce rugged marine binoculars are purged and then over-pressurized with dry nitrogen to 6 to 7 psi. They exceed all military shock and waterproof standards and carry a 30-year limited lifetime warranty.
