Costa Del Mar’s Blackfin and Permit
Costa Del Mar’s Blackfin and Permit
Feb 25, 2008
Finding a good pair of wraparound sunglasses that are wide enough to block out side glare yet light enough to wear comfortably all day on the hot deck can be a chore. And since heading offshore without a pair of polarized sunglasses simply isn't an option, check out Costa Del Mar's two new offshore models: the Blackfin and the Permit.

Perhaps the most unique part about both styles is Costa Del Mar's signature co-injected Hydrolite rubberized composite compound that lines the sunglasses from one temple tip to the other, as well as the nose pads. This hypoallergenic, lightweight material adheres naturally to your face, giving the sunglasses superior fit and grip properties, no matter how extreme the wearer's adventure becomes.

Besides the nonslip, Hydrolite lining, Blackfin and Permit frames feature a more aggressive, large, contemporary shape. Each touts flexible stainless-steel integral hinges and wire core designed to fit the consumer perfectly, providing comfort and stability all day, every day. Permit, similar to Costa Del Mar's Fathom sunglasses, offers innovative side-venting in the frame. Both Blackfin and Permit are available in shiny tortoise, matte black and gunmetal colors, and can be paired with the full array of Costa Del Mar's 100-percent polarized CR-39 and glass lens technologies, including COSTA 400 and the patented 580 mirror and non-mirror options.
