Put the reel in free-spool to ease the tension on the springs, and put the clicker on. The clicker keeps the spool from spinning freely as you start the job. Remove the six screws on the left side plate in a star pattern, just like if you were changing a tire, and line up the screws nearby in the order that they came out. (I do this out of habit since some reels once used different screws in the various holes - not so today. But its always a good idea to put them back in the same hole they came out of.)
